About the Artist
Artist Statement
I paint the quiet places where land and memory meet — riverbeds, courtyards, the grey hour before monsoon rain. My work begins with texture: layers of oil and cold wax built up, scraped back, and built again until the surface holds a history of its own.
Trained in Lahore and now working from a small studio in Islamabad, I am interested in the ordinary architecture of Pakistan — a jharokha window, a washed terracotta floor — and in what remains of a place after the people leave the room.
